* { font:inherit; } All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. They have been spay/neutered, micro chipped and crate trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.Claire wandered up to a home outside of Rayville, La.  She was underweight and covered in ticks, but in good spirits and happy. Since being in foster care, she has been spayed & tested for heartworms...she was negative!!  This is a young, energetic little girl who loves the finer things in life.  Her foster home has a big dog, parrot and cat that are constantly on the alert for this little dynamo coming through the house.  She loves to play with toys or will sit quietly with you while you watch TV.  Claire is a real snuggle-bunny.  She wants a soft blanket and the person she loves close by.  She rides well in the car and is crate trained.  She walks on a leash and knows simple commands, such as sit, down and speak!  This little dog is precious...won't you give her a good home?? The DHS organized in November 2008 to care for the unwanted and neglected animals of Northeastern Louisiana. We are funded only by donations. We ARE making a difference but we still have a  LOT to do....
