I am so sad to do this but I am needing to find a home for Angus. I have posted him before for sale, and with the horse market the way it is, juts cant get him sold. Understandably because of his condition, even though he is worth his weight in gold. I would be willing to trade him for a nice set of mecate reins (the good one that are make out of yatch rope with leather popper), or something else usable for horses.....Or even would be willing to take on a younger(weanling on up), unbroke horse, mini, or pony. If you need a great companion horse for whatever animal you may need him for, he would be awesome. He is used to chickens, kids, dogs, cats, and is very kind to other horses.
He just has a sweet temperment. Will stand all day long to be petted. Sees you in the pasture and runs to greet you. Always waiting to be petted. He will even hang out and watch you chainsaw, split wood with a log splitter, or whatever else loud you may want to do. he is very curious, a;most mischivious nature. He will stick his nose anywhere to see what you are doing. The only thing I have found that bothers him is fourwheelers but I honestly dont think hes scared of him, they excite him. he will run and act all silly. Angus has a ton of personality and would make any young child a great best friend. He tries so hard to be my kids' friend, but alas thay will have nothing to do with him. I am in the process of training my three yr old QH and I just have no time for him, as I love to ride, and sadly he cannot be ridden by adults. He can handle the weight of a small child and would make a great leadline friend. Sit on him while he eats, or while you are grooming him. (He accepts a saddle great although because of his hip, he should only be mounted bareback.)
The reason he cannot (never vet confirmed) be ridden is he has what is called a "dropped hip", or "Hunters Bump". Do some reasearch on the condition, just google it and you will see what it means. But dont let him fool you, he can and will run, lope, kick up his heels with the best of them. Also has a very pretty trot, alomost looks gaited. Very flashy. I am sorry but I have no idea how he got that way, nor how long he has been that way. The guy I bought him from (for $600) didnt have any info on his history at all except he is a paint and his name was Angus (I believe he was a trader)
If you are intersted in Angus just shoot me an e-mail and I will tell you all about him. Take a look at his pics( I will take more pics at your request) and you will see how pretty he really is. He is a true black with four socks, and cool blaze, almost bald face, and he has one brown eye and one eye. Just cute, cute cute!
I have ton of pics to send!! Most will be taken same day!
Please only serious people only. I have tried to sale him before and after people are told what is wrong with him, I never got another e-mail. Its hard to write all that info for nothing. Here is a couple of helpful websites that helps explain his condition.

Please read it then if you are still interested then shoot me an e-mail. I am sorry I have to be that way, but I dont have all day to sit at the computer, plus I want Angus's possible new owner to be aware of everything about him. I dont want to trick anyone, or hide anything. I want you to be prepared.
Sorry this is so long but I really wanted you all to know a lot of details so you would know exactly what you were looking at. With that said, Please help me find him a home. I would really hate to take him to the auction, but I am afraid if he cant find a home soon that is exactaly where he will go. Who knows where he will go from there. I love this guy, but he just isnt what I need in a horse. Please let him become your next new best friend. You wont regret it at all!
Oh and I almost forgot to tell you. He is not current on his shots, nor coggins, and he is also in need of a good farrier. He requires extra attention when trimmed and my farrier wont tough his back legs. This is also the reason for his cheap price. Technically free, but I really need to get something in trade to make the hubby happy cause I begged him to let me save/buy him from the horrible man that had him.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
