Here we have a part of electric guitar history. This Gibson Les Paul Standard from 1962 is in a all original excellent+ condition without any breaks or repairs. The color of the finish shines like on the first day besides on the neck where it is a little bit brighter. The guitar has only a very few blemishes - it was very cared for. On the neck joint there is a very small chip (nothing that has to be repaired, its a cosmetical issue), the neck is straight like an arrow and plays perfectly. Breaks and cracks on the neck joint are very common on this kind of instrument - but here's everything fine. This guitar was NOT refinished nor it had any repairs. Its all original. Its possible that the guitar had a refret (which I can't tell exactly), IF it had, it was a professional one.
Looking at the poticode, this guitar is from 41st week 1962. The serial number shows that it is from the early 1963. Parts of the serial number have been covered by me to keep the buyers privacy.
This guitar has the very sought after labeled Patent Applied For Pickups. The sideways vibrola tremolo shows some slight oxidation on its cover.
All in all this guitar is in a super clean exceptional condition (exc+). In this auction is also a Gibson case from the late sixties included and also a new Gibson Case (which is far more stable to transport the guitar).
